Randall focuses on new investments in Washington and British Columbia, primarily in the areas of analytics software and financial technology. He previously worked at Voyager Capital before leaving in 2010 to lead finance for Fund III portfolio company Lighter Capital, and returned as a full-time investor in 2017.
Previously, Randall focused on starting or funding early stage technology companies. He was a founder or operating executive of a number of startups, including Simple Verity, Lighter Capital (Voyager Fund III), and SuperSurvey (acquired). He previously served in a board advisory role with Blue Box Group (acquired by IBM) and board observer roles with Kaggle (acquired by Google), Elemental Technologies (acquired by Amazon), and AboutUs (acquired). Currently, he serves as a board observer for Shiftboard, TurboPatent, and Zipwhip, and a director for WellnessFX.
Randall earned an A.B. in History of Science from Harvard College, where he rowed on the heavyweight crew. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
